Executive Actions & the Courts

  • Multi-country and third-country flights raise transparency and legal rights concerns, especially with long shackling and offshore routes.

Litigation: Third-Country Removals & “Chain Deportation”

  • New lawsuits challenge removals to third countries as unlawful when they result in return to danger despite asylum claims.

  • Advocates are asked to report cases where people are removed without a fair fear screening or legal access.
