Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a deeply meaningful tradition rooted in ancient Mesoamerican traditions and culture. Rather than simply mourning those who have died, families and communities gather to remember, honor and celebrate the lives of ancestors and loved ones who came before them.

Every year for Día de los Muertos, IAJE creates a community altar to honor and remember the loved ones who are no longer with us. We invite our community to be part of this tradition by submitting a photo of someone you would like us to remember and honor on the altar.
