Trump Declares Crime Emergency in Washington, D.C.
Trump has issued an Executive Order declaring a "Crime Emergency" in the District of Columbia and assumed federal control over the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department.
This move comes despite data showing a continued decline in crime across 2024 and 2025, with violent crime reportedly at a 30-year low.

Immigration: Changes to Visa Program and Child Status Protection Act
USCIS and the Department of State have implemented updates to the visa application process.
